Monday night's shooting spree by ex-postal worker Jennifer Sanmarco in California may be the deadliest ever for a workplace shooting perpetrated by a woman.
However, these types of workplace murders done by females are fairly uncommon.
According to Northeastern University criminologist James Alan Fox, women were responsible for just 7 percent of 450 workplace shootings over the last 30 years and federal statistics show that women are responsible for just 12.3 percent of homicides in general.
