DNA Evidence From '73 Helps Convict Rapist

Courageous Kathleen Ham finally has justice in the conviction of a man who raped her 32 years ago at knifepoint with the use of DNA, a technology that did not exist at the time of her attack.

Fletcher Anderson Worrell, 58, was found guilty of rape and robbery in the 1973 attack on Kathleen Ham in her Manhattan apartment. He was caught after a background check run in DeKalb County, Georgia, when he was trying to buy a shotgun revealed warrants for his arrest pending in New York where he jumped bail three decades ago.
